The City of North Miami Finance Department oversees the billing for city utilities. Although commonly referred to as the "water bill", your utility bill includes charges for water, sewer, storm water, sanitation and recycling, as well as a Miami-Dade County service fee.

This will avoid future loss of service. Customers may visit the North Miami Utility Billing Office to make in-full payments or to set-up an installment payment plan. In-full payments may also be done online at www.northmiamifl.gov/utilitybill.

The North Miami City will increase water and sewer rates for Fiscal Year 2023-24 to take effect on October 1, 2023. The rates will increase by 8.40% for water and 8.60% for sewer, for an average increase of 8.50% combined. The increases are in accordance with the recommendations of a Water and Sewer Rate Design Report issued in August 2021 by a consulting firm engaged by the City of North Miami. The Report provided for increases in the water and sewer rates for fiscal years 2022 through 2026. The full report was adopted on second reading by North Miami Mayor and Council on October 26, 2021, to become Ordinance 1473. Further, the rate increases for fiscal year 2024 will be discussed at the 2023-2024 budget town hall meetings to be held on August 23, 24, 28 and 29, 2023. The rate increases will also be discussed at the budget hearings to be held on September 5 and September 19, 2023. The City of North Miami Water and Sewer Utility’s Consumptive Water Use Permit (13-00059-W) requires the use of a consumption-based rate structure as one of the conditions of issuance.
